Revelation Prophetic

Gifts

3 main categories of gifts:

Motivational gifts – Rom 12:6-10
• Helps (serving)
• Administrations

Charisma is the Greek word here. It is believed that this is the category of gifts that Peter was referring to when he said we were to employ them to benefit one another. These are gifts that we possess. They are the gifts that Yahweh has built into us, made part of us, to be used for the benefit of others and for His glory. They are grace gifts. We do not deserve them. But because Yahweh loves us He gives them to us. Since they provide the motivating force for our lives, they have been called motivational gifts. We will talk about the 7 areas of these gifts in a minute.

Ministry gifts – Eph 4:11
• Apostles
• Prophets
• Teachers
• Evangelist
• Pastors

It is important to know that there is an emphasis on the fact that these are not titles, but functions. A person does not become a prophet by being given the name. Rather, he becomes a prophet as he develops his Yahweh – given ability to function in a prophet like ways, responding to Yahweh's specific call with a willing heart. The purpose of these ministry gifts is clear: for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Yashua the Christ.
These 5 ministry gifs might equally well be called “equipping” gifts, enabling the saints (believers) to do the work of the ministry so that Yashua's Body on earth (the church) can function as His true representative.
Therefore, neither are these gifts the possessions – the things that belong to us – spoken of in 1 peter 4:10. Rather they are people who are gifted to be equippers of the rest of the Body of Yashua.

Manifestation gifts – 1 Corinthians 12:7-10
• Miracles
• Healing
• Tongues
• Interpretations
• Word of knowledge
• Word of wisdom
• Prophecy
• Discerning of spirits

Some call these the manifestation gifts because Paul used the Greek word phanerosis, meaning, “an exhibition, expression or manifestation.” In other words Paul defined these as supernatural manifestations of the Holy Spirit at work through a believer.

The 7 areas of motivational gifts:

1. Perceiver: one who perceives the will of Yahweh.

2. Server: one who loves to serve others. “Doer”

3. teacher: one who loves to research and communicate truth

4. exhorter: one who loves to encourage others to live a victorious life

5. giver: one who loves to give time, talent, energy to the benefit of others

6. administrator: one who loves to organize, lead, or direct

7. compassioned person: one who shows mercy, or compassion

Everyone has a motivational gift.
A. They must be used to benefit others.

B. It was a part of Yahweh's plan to shape us for our role in the building of his kingdom.

C. Our gift colors all we see. A server will ask how he can help the situation; a teacher will seek the truth in the situation and so on, and so on.

D. Each gift is of equal value.

What we are is Yahweh's __gift___ to us; what we make of our _lives___ is our gift to Yahweh!
The gifts in the body

1. Perceiver: this is the eye of the body. They see the things that the rest of us often miss completely. Of all the members, this is the person who cannot afford pollution or sin in his life.

2. Server: this is the hands of the body. They are the most capable with their hands. They love hands on involvement.

3. Teacher: this is the mind of the body. They are exceptionally gifted with intelligence. Always asking questions and wants to know the bases for everything.

4. Exhorter: exhorter is the mouth of the body. They like to talk a lot. The best oiled jaws of all.

5. Giver: this is the arms of the body. Givers have great strength spiritually. Givers are a strong support to those who are on the front lines.

6. Administrator: this is the shoulders of the body. They are carrying the load of the leadership.

7. Compassion Person: this is the heart. They are ruled by the heart and not the head. They reveal the true mature of God by showing kindness, care, and mercy to others.

Two distinctions within the seven gifts:
A. those that focus on speech
B. those that focus on service

The best way to measure whether or not you are operating in the sphere of your motivational gift is by this simple test: __Joy__ is the byproduct of operating in you motivational gift. __Frustration__ is the byproduct of trying to operate outside it.

Sin ___blocks__ and ___distort___ the working of your gifts. SIN POLLUTES.

The Holy Spirit empowers the gifts.
